BLOG 1 - My Auto Biography


Hello there, I am Emilia Gutiérrez, I was born in Santiago.

 

Since I was three years old, I live in the commune of the cistern, with my mother, my father, and my elder sister. When I was little, I didn’t like going to school and less to study, what I liked was playing with my dolls, being with my dog who passed away, which was called Gaspar and riding skates. In my childhood I did figure skating and went to competitions where I won medals and wore beautiful costumes to compete, I miss that a lot... :(





Although currently I no longer skate, nor do I have my dog, I really enjoy my two cats and listening to music; I really like listening to salsa, I would love to know how to dance professionally. I also love swimming in the sea, more than in a pool, because the water in a pool is very calm and I like to get under the waves hahaha.

My favorite food is bolognese noodles. I love pasta in general, no matter if it’s Ravioli, fettuccine, cannelloni, I really don’t care, I love them all, whether they are stuffed or not, but my favorite sauce is the classic bolognese. I should also say I like it with a lot of grated cheese on top and a steak like my mom does.   I have never been crafty, I always liked to eat everything and I must have a few dishes that fascinate me too, but right now I decided to talk about noodles, because I feel that it is something so simple to prepare, you don’t have to be an expert in the kitchen to make them rich, You just have to prepare them with love, just like I think you should prepare all the meals, and so enjoy the rich taste of our favorite food alone or with the people we want.

Blog 3 - My Favorite Piece of Technology

For this blog I will comment on my favorite technological article, which is the most famous, cell phone.   I think that many of my colleagues have put the cell phone on their blogs, because it is an essential article in modern life and are as obvious reasons, but regardless of those reasons, I will say why it is my favorite personally. With this device I can do many things, like listen to music if I want, talk by call with my boyfriend, play my favorite game of interior decoration hahaha, and many other things like organize my times, as it has the clock, which serves me a lot, because I can take a nap and not spend long sleeping, which is very useful and practical. Speaking honestly, I use my cell phone very often, since my parents gave it to me this year, which I have used every day and if I didn’t have it I would most likely buy another hahaha. (game I wrote about)

BLOG 2 - Why did you choose this career/study programme?

    When I was a little girl, I dreamed that my future profession would be archaeology, I really liked to watch history videos and learn about dinosaurs, mummies, ancient cities (that’s why I really liked the History Channel hahaha). I also really liked the hairdresser, which really has nothing to do with the other thing I mentioned, but I liked that hairdresser thing (I still like it) and all that having my own salon in which to do my magic hahaha.   In these moments of my life, I am studying Social Work, and I really like it, but I still feel that I lack to have face-to-face classes to like it even more... Plus my mom always told me that I would end up studying social work, because she says that I’ve always been very empathetic with others, and I think she’s very right about me.
